For Sale in Las Vegas
Did you know that Las Vegas is the second favorite vacation spot in the United States? It is also the largest city to be designed in the 20 th century, and millions of visitors flock there to experience the country’s liveliest attraction. Furthermore, statistical reports indicate that thousands of people decide to live in Vegas every year. They are attracted to the town because of its high employment rates, affordable living expenses, beautiful environment, warm weather, and, most importantly, exemption from state taxes. The valley is divided into four separate sections: Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, and North Las Vegas. Each area has its own unique features.
History:
Las Vegas was founded in 1829 when Spanish traders unintentionally discovered an oasis which would shorten their trail to Los Angeles by enabling them to cut across the artesian instead of going around on land. Grateful for the convenience, the traveling caravan named the deserted area “ Las Vegas” which means “the meadows.” Afterwards, different cultural groups colonized the areas for many years, but the town was not fully established until 1904 when it became a small watering stop for travelers headed farther west. Things really began to pick up in 1928 when the government provided funds for the Boulder Canyon Project and new residents started pouring in. Just as victims of the Great Depression flocked to the city in search of jobs in the past, the region continues to lure new jobseekers into the thriving community.
